I don’t put mine in the dryer, so keep in mind that will extend the life of your underwear. Like I said, the underwear from Knickey washes SO well. I’d love to see a deeper offering of sizes because I’m a picky bitch. The only reason I gave them an A- is because of the size range. You can choose between XS, S, and XL models to see the on-body fit of each pair of underwear.
My favorite feature of the entire Knickey website is the ‘see it on’ tool. Within my entire Underwear Thesis, Knickey is at the top of my list of brands who are inclusive. And I really appreciate that they don’t use ‘nude’ to review to any of them! They also feature a variety of models of different sizes and skintones, so that’s awesome as well. Knickey does an excellent job of offering neutral shades of underwear for different skintones. I appreciate that Knickey breaks down all the various manufacturing steps for their organic cotton from the farm to the ginner to the spinner to the factory. They even had a section called Behind the Seams (love a good pun) that is dedicated to sharing their sustainability and ethical manufacturing standards. The use GOTS Certified organic cotton and are both OEKO-TEX certified and FairTrade International certified. Knickey is very transparent about their sustainability practices. They look nearly brand new even after months of wear and washing! The only part that seems to be wearing is the elastic at the waist and the leg openings. I believe these are the first pairs of underwear that I’ve reviewed where that’s the case!Įach pair of underwear is made SO well. The gusset is made of the same fabric and open on both sides. Sometimes I experience chafing from the elastic on the leg openings for that style specifically. That means it’s also very soft and helps to prevent chafing! The high-rise briefs don’t have that unfortunately. The mid-rise hipster and low-rise bikini have really nice leg openings because it’s made with the same fabric as the rest of the panty. I also really like the quality of their elastic and stitching. So the weight and softness of Knickey is exactly what I had in mind. I absolutely love my Arq underwear, but sometimes you don’t want a pair that’s quite as thick.
When I first opened the package from Knickey, I was obsessed with their fabric. I loved that they also list ‘0% toxic chemicals’ on the content details of each pair of underwear ( it’s printed directly on the fabric because they are tagless also, which I love). Knickey is all about elevated basics that are made with organic cotton and 5% elastane which is important for stretch.
